HEAD OF MARKETING (MATERNITY COVER)
Job title: Head Of Marketing
Contract: Full time, Fixed Term
Location: HQ office - a great location in central Brixton
Working Routine: hybrid - 3 days per week in office

Overall purpose
We are looking for an experienced Head of Marketing to join our team on a maternity cover basis. Someone who can lead the Brixton Brewery Marketing team in the planning, execution and measurement of a marketing strategy that delivers on business objectives. This is a creative and highly strategic role which is instrumental in helping us to deliver on our mission to give drinkers across the UK a Taste of Brixton.
Role & Responsibilities
Plan, execute and measure the annual marketing plan.
- Run campaigns, activations and always-on activity across ATL, PR, Digital & social media, Events and Partnerships/Sponsorships.
- Manage agency partners to assist in delivery of plans, particularly for PR and ATL.
- Collaborate with Sales Team and partners in Heineken to deliver trade marketing activations.
- Manage the Brixton marketing budget, allocating resources for maximum impact.
- Be a brand guardian, ensuring that all activity, content and brand touchpoints adhere to guidelines and express our positioning as effectively as possible.
- Manage and develop a team of three direct reports: Digital Marketing Lead, Community & Events Lead, Marketing Assistant.
- Maximise the impact of our Taproom in the heart of Brixton with a full year calendar of events and promotions.
- Execute carefully curated collaborations and brand partnerships that get us noticed and reach new audiences.
- Nurture our roots in Brixton, providing support to the local community via sponsorships, charitable initiatives and local partnerships/collaborations.
- Develop assets and launch plans to maximise our LTD EDN calendar.
- Use available resources (i.e. Kantar BGS tracking) to measure and report on brand performance and gather insights that inform plans.
- Work with teams across Heineken to maximise the impact of our partnership and ensure strategic alignment, contributing to projects such as Integrated Commercial Planning, portfolio strategy & segmentation, brand positioning etc.
About You
- A highly strategic and creative leader with extensive experience in brand marketing (7+ years), ideally in FMCG and some experience working in large companies.
- A forward-thinking marketer who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is eager to contribute to Brixton Brewery’s mission to give drinkers across the UK a Taste of Brixton.
- A hands-on Head of Marketing, willing to get stuck in and support with occasional out of hours work i.e. attending brand events / activations.
- A skilled manager of cross-functional teams, maximising the expertise of direct reports, partners and agencies to deliver exceptional results.
- A great multi-tasker who thrives juggling multiple projects at once without compromising on execution.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience building and maintaining effective relationships to ensure alignment and drive successful outcomes.
- A confident communicator, comfortable presenting plans to key customers and senior management teams, chatting to drinkers about our beers at festivals, or dealing with press, influencers and other key partners

TAPROOM SERVING STAFF – CASUAL/ FLEXIBLE PART-TIME
Start date: ASAP
Salary: London Living Wage (currently £13.85 p/h)
The Role:
We’re seeking experienced bar-staff interested in working in an energetic and friendly environment. It’s a casual role with flexible hours depending on our need and your availability. Main responsibilities are getting to know all about our beers and being able to serve people to a high standard, while also doing
light cleaning and service-related tasks, such as changing kegs, etc.
Key Duties:
This role is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate who needs flexible working hours:
- Supporting the Taproom Manager/Supervisor in running the Taproom to a high standard
- Providing excellent customer service and representing Brixton Brewery with enthusiasm and knowledge
- Getting to know the range of drinks on offer and serving them quickly and professionally
- Assisting in other tasks like clearing tables, making sure all areas are clean and hygienic
- Changing kegs and maintaining stock
- Helping with opening & closing of Taproom
- Working at events in the Taproom
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Service experience in a bar/restaurant
- Excellent service skills
- Ability to deal well with the public
- Attention to hygiene and cleanliness of the Taproom
- Available evenings & weekends
- Reliable and dependable
- Legal right to work in the UK
