We aim to come back to journalists within two working days. If your deadline is tighter than that, say so in the subject line and we will do what we can.

We back things happening on our doorstep: community events, grassroots sport, music, festivals, causes and charities in Brixton and South London.

What helps your request: the date, the venue, who comes and roughly how many, and exactly what you are asking us for. Four weeks' notice or more. The more specific the ask, the faster we can answer it.

What we usually cannot do: anything outside London, anything needing a decision inside a fortnight, and free beer for private parties.

We read every request and reply where we can. We get far more than we are able to support, so a no is rarely about the idea.
