Brixton Brewery have joined forces with Darco Recordings to celebrate heritage, culture, and community. Across various platforms we will present personal collections and archive imagery that tell influential stories of both the musical and civil rights legacies rooted in Brixton and beyond - honouring Darcus Howe and the history of Railton Road in the process.
We have created three LTD EDN can designs each featuring legendary protest pictures of Darcus Howe and Beese, mixed in with the classic iconography of Brixton Brewery, alongside the striking yellow of DARCO recordings. Other key features include 9 stripes commemorating the mangrove 9, DARCO’s manifesto ‘for the people, all the people’ and a QR code allowing people to access an exclusive playlist.

ELECTRIC TROPICAL LAGER STORY
Electric Tropical Lager takes inspiration from the tropical fruit stalls on Brixton’s iconic market street, Electric Avenue – made famous by the Eddie Grant song of the same name.
The stalls here have been part of the fabric of Brixton for decades – piled high with all manner of tropical fruit, vegetables and spices brought here by the waves of immigrants who've made Brixton their home.
We’d been talking about brewing a fruit-flavoured lager for some time, and after trying many combinations, we landed on mango and pineapple with a hint of ginger for balance. No artificial sweeteners, just proper tropical flavour brewed into a crisp, refreshing lager.
