We're forking out for 7000+ free pints for drinkers in pubs this summer in our biggest ever sampling campaign

Lucky drinkers in UK cities including London, Birmingham, Liverpool, Brighton and Bristol will be offered a fresh pint of Brixton, no strings attached every Saturday throughout May as our ambassadors head out to give drinkers a literal Taste Of Brixton. And in support of the 100+ venues we'll be visiting, all pints will be purchased at full retail price over the bar.

The activity coincides with the return of the our advertising campaign, Get A Taste of Brixton, refreshed for its third year. Launching on 1st May, the campaign features a series of online travel films, digital banners, and a partnership with Time Out.

Speaking about the planned sampling campaign, Jez Galaun, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Brixton Brewery said, “Last year we were very proud that Brixton Brewery became the 4th biggest craft brewery in the on-trade. We’re now stocked in over 3000 pubs, and we see all of this success as a testament to how much drinkers love our beers. With this in mind, a sampling campaign just made sense! We believe that if people get to try a pint of Brixton, they’ll want to buy another.”

The Get a Taste of Brixton ad campaign pays homage to the lo-fi ‘wish you were here’ nostalgia of vintage postcards from years gone by. But rather than the usual beach and pier shots, the ads feature the charming chaos of urban life, from pavement pigeons to abandoned supermarket trolleys and market stall butchers, lending humour and a tongue-in-cheek character to the campaign. Captions like ‘An all-inclusive holiday for your mouth’ and ‘The glittering jewel of south London’ bring a playful retro feel.

The online films have been soundtracked by legendary south London musicians and members of Brixton Brewery’s ‘Electric Collective’, Ayo Salawu and Renato Paris. They were commissioned by us to create an original track called ‘Coldharbour Lane,’ inspired by the local area.

A second wave of sampling is due to take place in September, so if you're a stockist in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Brighton, Bristol, Leeds or Liverpool and you would like to be included, drop us an email at info@brixtonbrewery.com.
